Scheduling Flexibility with Employee Schedule Software
“I like the flexibility of the software.” “The flexibility built into VSS Pro makes scheduling a snap.” ”It's a great time saver and is flexible, too.” Why do we hear about scheduling flexibility over and over again in our customer reviews? This testimonial probably says it best: “We like its flexibility, especially how we can print schedules in different ways.”

When using a manual method of creating employee schedules you’re so limited in the ways to display that information. Old fashioned paper calendars and Excel spreadsheets only allow for a WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) view of the upcoming work schedule. Employee schedule software is flexible enough to give you a daily schedule, weekly schedule, monthly schedule or any other type of work schedule you want to see in a matter of seconds.
Daily Schedule
It’s common for a department manager to want to know who is supposed to be working that day, when and where. A daily roster report is the perfect way to communicate that information to managers and supervisors.
Weekly Schedule
A weekly schedule is a great way to see who’s working and where at-a-glance. It’s easy-to-read because there’s enough space on an 8½" x 11" piece of paper to include the full descriptions to explain the shift they’ll be working.
Monthly Schedule
The monthly schedule gives you the complete picture of who will be working the next four weeks. Since it’s a lot of information to fit on a small space, abbreviations are used. A legend explaining the abbreviations can be attached to the monthly schedule to make sure employees understand what each one means.
In any of these reports you can choose to display the shift description (ex. - Day, Evening, Night), start and end time of the shift, explanation of what they will be doing or where they will be working, and miscellaneous notes. Daily, weekly and monthly schedules are only a few examples of the types of reports available in VSS Pro. Being able to print schedules in different ways is the kind of flexibility only employee schedule software can give you.
